County or diocese: Royal households, nobility and official.

Grant: Two subsidies, 1625 June 30 or later.

Document type: Certificate of non-distraint. Includes names of individuals.

This document is explicitly a certificate of non-distraint relating to the collection in the Royal Household of the second of the two subsidies granted to Charles I in 1625.

The document, issued by the commissioners for the household for this collection, simply states that the collectors had sworn before them that they had been unable to collect the assessed sums from certain named individuals, or to distrain goods to the equivalent value.
