Description

County or diocese: Hereford.

Grant: Two clerical tenths on unassessed benefices, Canterbury province, 1417 Dec 20.

Document type: Account.

Folios or pages: 1.

This is the account of the abbot of Wigmore and prior of Chirbury, collectors of the first of two clerical tenths on unassessed benefices granted to Henry V in 1417, for the archdeaconry of Salop in the diocese of Hereford; no attorney is named.

The document is in good condition and is legible.

The document is undated, but refers to a certificate of the bishop of Hereford dated 8 January 1418 and was therefore probably created at some point after that date.

The document bears the names of auditors and shows signs of having been enrolled, including an endorsement of enrolment.
