The Transport Tribunal was originally set up to hear appeals against decisions of Traffic Commissioners in connection with the Heavy Goods Vehicles and Public Service Vehicles Operators Licensing Systems. It also hears appeals against decisions of The Registrar of Approved Driving Instructors. In addition, it is able to resolve disputes under the Postal Services Act 2000. In 2010 the tribunal became the First?tier Tribunal (Transport).
