To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Richard Hooton, Green Lane, Tue Brook, Liverpool [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter referring to his communication of 5 October 1868 regarding the 'fearful pollution of Tue Brook' and asking whether 'seven weeks is not a sufficient time for some action to be taken in the matter'.
He submits that the effluvia arising from the uncovered brook has been 'indescribably offensive' during recent rains.
He appeals for immediate interference to compel the West Derby Local Board to cover the brook.
