Folio 520.
To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Messrs Radcliffe and Layton, Clerks to the Local Board of West Derby [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter in response to a complaint from Richard Hooton relating to Tue Brook that was forwarded by the Office. In reply, they refer the Office to their letter of 10 October 1868 which fully states the steps taken by the Local Board to keep the brook free from nuisances.
They submit that Hooton contributes to the nuisance because the drainage from his house flows into the brook.
