To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Messrs Radcliffe and Layton, Clerks to the Local Board of West Derby [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter referring to the appointment of an Officer of Health under the Artizans and Labourers Dwellings Act 1868. They submit that the Local Board's Inspector of Nuisances has previously performed the duties of an Officer of Health, and it would be a great saving for the ratepayers if he could be appointed under Section 4 of the Act.
