Folios 505-507.
To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Messrs Radcliffe and Layton, Clerks to the Local Board of West Derby [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter applying for sanction to borrow £1500 for the construction and widening of a part of West Derby Road known as Rocky Lane between Belmont Road and Lower Breck Road.
They enclose a plan of the proposed works [not included in the item] along with an estimate from Arthur F Orridge, Engineer and Surveyor to the Local Board. The estimate amounts to £1491 10s 9d.
They state that the rateable value of property in the District is £137,403 and the estimated population is 25,000. They detail the amount and dates of loans taken by the Local Board up to this point, including £26,500 for main sewerage works on 18 July 1865.
