To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Messrs Radcliffe and Layton, Clerks to the Local Board of West Derby, 13 Hackins Hey, Liverpool [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter advising that the Local Board are considering an application to Parliament for greater powers than those that have been conferred on them by public Acts. Among other things, they state, the Local Board has no power to cause those who default on their rates to be imprisoned. He asks for information as to any Districts that possess private Acts.
