To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Messrs Radcliffe and Layton, Clerks to the Local Board of West Derby [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter supplying information in pursuance of the Local Board's application for a loan of £1200 for the extension of sewerage works.
It is stated that the West Derby District's estimated population is 25,000 and its rateable value in July 1867 was £131,290. Details of previous loans taken by the Local Board are given, including £26,500 for main sewerage works in February 1865 and £8650 for street improvements in February 1867.
