To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Messrs Radcliffe and Layton, solicitors to the Local Board of West Derby, 13 Hackins Hey, Liverpool [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter advising that the suggestions made by the Office on the Local Board's proposed bye laws have been included in the latest draft. He adds that the bye laws have been duly advertised under Section 115 of the Public Health Act 1848. They return the bye laws [not included in the item] for confirmation by the Home Secretary.
[Folio 451 contains suggestions on some of the bye laws relating to the level of new streets, the drainage of buildings, and the removal of refuse].
