Folio 39.
To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: Thomas Geddes, Town Clerk and Clerk to the Local Board, Warrington [Lancashire].
Subject Matter: Letter asking for an interpretation of the Local Board's 12th bye law, relating to open space around buildings, which was adapted from bye laws suggested by the Office.
He explains that plans for a row of two storey houses have been submitted to the Local Board that, despite containing an open space of 150 square feet behind each house, include yard walls that are fewer than 15 feet from the buildings.
He asks whether the Local Board can insist on the walls being built 15 feet from the buildings despite the fact that this would narrow a proposed back passage between this and another row of houses.
