To: W H Smith, Swansea [Glamorganshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter, in reply to a letter of 23 June 1851, stating that an amending Bill to the Public Health Act 1848 has been prepared but is not yet before the House of Commons. Smith is advised that there is a clause in the Bill to give Local Boards the power to make a new valuation of poor rates within their District, and this clause will be submitted to the Poor Law Board.
