Card section divider, typed 'Great Western Railway, Colours of Locomotives, Carriages and Wagons', six cuttings attached:
1) ['The Railway Magazine', April 1916, page 309], [report that Great Western Railway] 'goods and tank engines are appearing in khaki livery'.
2) ['The Railway Magazine', May 1915, page 419], '0-6-0 engine ... rebuilt as pannier side tank, has been painted a genuine brown'.
3) ['The Railway Magazine', July 1905, page 83], [complaints about changes to Great Western Railway coaches, praise for Maryport and Carlisle Railway green and cream colour scheme].
4) Unidentified, undated publication [c 1909], 'A New Livery for Small Great Western Engines', [0-4-2 tank engines for railway motor services] 'painted a reddish-brown'.
5) ['The Railway Magazine', September 1909, page 247], 'Great Western Locomotive Painted Lake' [4-4-2 tank engine No 2225 painted variation of 'crimson lake' red].
6) ['The Locomotive'], manuscript dated '15 [January] 1916', [report 0-6-0 good engines being repainted in khaki colour].
