Description

Summary: Copies of two orders made by the committee for managing estates under sequestration. Signed by Francis Royley.

1) That Samuel Bedford, commissioner for sequestrations in the county of Bedford, should pay Thomas Edwards the rents due out the sequestered estates of Thomas, Earl of Cleveland [Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Cleveland] and Thomas Lord Wentworth [Thomas Wentworth, 5th Baron Wentworth] as agreed in a previous contract.

2) That Mr Bedford should pay John, Earl of Bridgewater [John Egerton, 2nd Earl of Bridgewater], £3 11s 2d by virtue of an order of 23 February 1553 that he was to receive the arrearages of a certain rent payable out of the manor of Seawell.
