Captured ship: St François de Paul (master Antoine Martin).
History: bound from Gerbig in Barbary to Athens and Smyrna, laden with soap ashes, 62 bales of sashes and parangani, 4 cases of red caps Barbary style, and 3 cases of dry cuttles; taken on 1/12 July 1744 of Cerigo [Kythira] by the privateer Ruby (Robert Saunders commanding), and brought into Malta
