Captured ship: Florentia Christiana (master Willem Willemse).
History: a [Dutch] ship, bound from Curaçao to Cartagena, laden with provisions and other merchandise (detailed); taken on 14 May 1740 about 12 leagues off Cartagena by the privateers Mary (Henry Bennett commanding) and Ranger (Thomas Threasher commanding), and brought into Kingston.
