Appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Minorca.
Captured ship: St Antoine de Padua or San Antonio de Padua (master Eleazar Rouden).
History: a French merchant ship (polacre 50 tons, 1 passenger), bound from Santa Cruz on the Barbary Coast and then Livorno to Marseilles, laden with wax etc; taken on 6 April 1744 by HMS Spence (Thomas Mogg commanding), and brought into Vado in Genoa / Mahon.
Manuscript appeal papers, including ship's papers and letters 1-39 and [1-20], but very few court papers.
