Folios 112-113: Letter NID O/L 15686, 1 November 1918 from Director of Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet. Monthly return of German shipbuilding dated 1 November 1918.

Folio 114: Handwritten table summarising monthly returns of German shipbuilding for the period August 1917 to October 1918 inclusive for battleships, battle cruisers, light cruisers, destroyers, submarines showing: strength of German Navy; ships building; ships completed and added to Fleet; ships lost; increase/decrease in strength.

Folios 116-119: Admiralty letter No 854, 16 October 1914 to C-in-C Home Fleets with report by Admiralty Committee for comment. Committee appointed (1) to examine the question of rumoured re-arming of certain classes of German ships (2) to report on the high explosive shell used by the Germans. Report dated 12 October 1914 and chaired by FCT Tudor, Third Sea Lord.

Folio 120: Letter No 318/HF0017, 25 October 1914 from C-in-C Home Fleets to Admiralty with comments on report noted in Folios 116-119.

Folios 123-128: Admiralty letter G.01793/14/27700, 16 December 1914 with report titled “Extracts from a report dated 1 December 1914 on the subject of firing trials etc of heavy howitzers at Kiel”. Also includes a paper titled “Proceedings of a conference held at the Admiralty on 14 December 1914.”

Folio 129: Letter 15 November 1914 from C-in-C Grand Fleet to Director of Intelligence Division enclosing letter received from USA [letter not on file] on subject of heavy guns on German ships.

Folio 130: Letter NID 11673/HF0017/21, 27 November 1914 from Director of Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet to Director of Intelligence Division commenting on heavy guns on German ships.

Folios 131-134: Letter No 536/HF0017, 21 March 1915 from Admiral JR Jellicoe to Admiralty concerning armament on German ships based on information obtained from the Mater Gunner of the Bluecher by an Englishman interned for the purpose of interviewing the Bluecher prisoners. Letter ends with request that HMS Queen Elizabeth be brought back from the Mediterranean and added to the Grand Fleet.

Folios 135-137: Admiralty letter No 187, 11 April 1915. M.02293 to Admiral JR Jellicoe in reply to his letter No 536/HF0017, 21 March 1915 with copy of report dated 3 April 1915 of further conference on German heavy guns on ships and confirming Their Lordships’ intention that HMS Queen Elizabeth returns to join the Grand Fleet.

Folios 286-317: Letter NID 126901, 16 May 1918 from Director of Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet. Translation of chapter VII (report and analysis of torpedo firing), Appendices 1a, 1b, 1c, 10a, 10b, 11, 12 and 14 of German Torpedo Firing Regulations for ships. Also enclosed are:- Torpedo history sheet comprising constructional data; maintenance in readiness for war; care and maintenance; details of runs made by the torpedo; air vessel history sheet. Torpedo test book.

Folios 320-324: GF letter No 3355/HF0017, 22 December 1918 from Commanding Officer HMS Birmingham, Captain EA Taylor to Rear Admiral 2nd Light Cruiser Squadron. Notes on loading arrangements of the submerged tubes of SMS Karlsruhe submitted by Lieutenant WE Parry.
