Appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: St Charles, otherwise St Charle or La Fortune (master Charles Olivier).
History: a French vessel, [bound from Turkey to Messina, laden with cotton, silk, hair and olive oil; taken as a joint capture by the English privateers or merchant ships Dursley Galley (Edward Campion commanding), Bacchus (Robert Taverner commanding), and Imperial Anne (Richard Harman commanding), and brought into Leghorn: see the nine examinations in HCA 13/90 (indexed under S)]; taken again on 27 April 1744, while lying at quarantine in Leghorn Roads, by HMS Revenge (George Berkeley commanding).
