Description

Prisoner name: Nicholas Henigan.

Prisoner age: 61.

Prisoner occupation: Servant at the Shakespeare Printing Company.

Court and date of trial: Old Bailey January Sessions 1828.

Crime: Shooting at Robert Taylor with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Initial sentence: Death.

Annotated (Outcome): Considered at Report in Council 5 March 1828.

Petitioner(s): Prisoner and 38 signatories; Robert Taylor and 12 members of jury who heard the case; anonymous petition; 37 members of the United Britons Friendly Society.
