Recommendation for the mitigation of sentence for selected prisoners on board/in: Hardy.

Names and details of prisoners:

William Snelling aged 35 convicted of petty larceny at Portsmouth [Hampshire] on 4 July 1823. Initial sentence: 7 Years transportation.

Thomas Howards aged 29 convicted of felony at Lewes [Sussex] on 26 July 1823. Initial sentence: 7 Years transportation.

Benjamin Cox aged 29 convicted of stealing furniture at Newgate on 3 December 1823. Initial sentence: 7 Years transportation.

Thomas Wheatley aged 23 convicted of poaching at Newington [Surrey] on 29 December 1823. Initial sentence: 7 Years transportation.

James Dare aged 40 convicted of poaching at Newington [Surrey] on 29 December 1823. Initial sentence: 7 Years transportation.

William Johnson convicted of stealing a hat at Newington [Surrey] on 13 January 1824. Initial sentence: 7 Years transportation. [crossed out].

Uriah Cully aged 28 convicted of stealing an ass at Newington [Surrey] on 13 January 1824. Initial sentence: 7 Years transportation. [crossed out].
