Recommendation for the mitigation of sentence for selected prisoners on board/in: Presteigne [Radnorshire] gaol.

Names and details of prisoners:

Edward Jarman aged 35 convicted at Radnorshire Great Spring Sessions 1825 of horse stealing. Initial sentence: death commuted to transportation for life.

Thomas Sheen aged 20 convicted at Radnorshire Great Spring Sessions 1825 of horse stealing. Initial sentence: death commuted to transportation for life.

William Taylor aged 22 convicted at Radnorshire Great Spring Sessions 1825 of horse stealing. Initial sentence: death commuted to transportation for life.

William Sheen aged 25 convicted at Radnorshire Great Spring Sessions 1825 of sheep stealing. Initial sentence: death commuted to transportation for life.

John Davies aged 20 convicted at Radnorshire Great Spring Sessions 1825 of sheep stealing. Initial sentence: death commuted to transportation for life.

Peter Chandler aged 20 convicted at Radnorshire Great Spring Sessions 1825 of stealing in a dwelling house. Initial sentence: transportation for 7 years.

William Jones aged 20 convicted at Radnorshire Great Spring Sessions 1825 of being an accessory with William Taylor. Initial sentence: transportation for 7 years.

Ann Price aged 43 convicted at Radnorshire Great Spring Sessions 1825 of sheep stealing. Initial sentence: transportation for 7 years.

Gaoler's name: John Whittaker visiting magistrate for the gaol at Presteigne requests removal of all prisoners except Ann Price to the hulks.
