Appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Elizabeth of Holmestrand (Norway) (master Christen Pedersen Stijr).
History: a Danish merchant ship (97 lasts, 12 men), bound from Christiania to St Martin, laden with deal boards; taken on 7/18 November 1747 between the Shingles and Folkestone by the privateer Nonpareil (John Holmden commanding), and brought into the Chatham River [Medway].
