Extract and insert from 'Journal of the Irish Railway Record Society', Vol., No.1, [June 1947], pages 13 - 18. 'The Avoca Mineral Tramway' article by K.A. Murray. An insert taken from Vol.2 Journal No.7, page 78 has been added giving further information on the locomotives used on the tramway. Drawing of 2-2-2 well tank locomotive 'Princess' from cover of Journal attached to front page.
