Description

Envelope mounted on reverse of divider card item 19 with typed caption, 'Liverpool Street [Station, London]' containing four postcards:

1) Colour postcard published in 'Locomotive Magazine Series' No 3 with printed caption on front, 'Liverpool Street Station GER [Great Eastern Railway]', interior view with J Holden Class D56 4-4-0 locomotive reversing along platform ten and suburban trains visible on one of the carriage roads and platform nine [image c.1905], 9cm x 14cm.

2) Monochrome postcard published in the Wrench Series No 8022 with printed caption on front, 'London Liverpool Street Station', exterior view of west side approach roads with horse drawn vehicles including the approach road to the Eldon Street entrance to London and North Western Railway Broad Street Station [image c.1905], 9cm x 14cm.

3) Monochrome postcard published in the Wrench Series No 6390 with printed caption on front, 'London Liverpool Street Station Interior', view across west side suburban platforms with the suburban concourse partly visible and with a train of horse boxes in the foreground on one of the carriage roads between platforms 9 and 10 [image c.1905], 9cm x 14cm.

4) Monochrome postcard with printed caption on front, 'Liverpool Street Station Exterior', view of west side approach roads with horse-drawn cab in the foreground and with a view of the east side and Eldon Street entrance to London and North Western Railway Broad Street Station [image c.1905], 9cm x 14cm.
