9812. Phillips to Clinton. Cambridge. His observations on the order given for the troops of the Convention of Saratoga to march from Massachusetts Bay to Charlotte, Albermarle County, Virginia a distance of 700 miles. He sends copies of the correspondence between Major-General Heath and Hamilton and Reidesel, and covers other related matters such as the vessels bringing clothing from Canada. Mention is made of Captain Masters of the 24th Regiment, Captain England, Mr Commissary Clarke, Mr Heyes, a surgeon and exchanged prisoner and Lieutenant Collier, Phillips's secretary. Phillips says he is in close confinement in his quarters and under guard.
