History: laden with 1,830 pieces of eight; taken on 14 July 1742 off the coast of Caracas, Venezuela by the privateer Victory of Newport (Joseph Power commanding) and brought into Newport, Rhode Island.
Appellants: the captor, appealing against restoration.
