9131(A). John Cook to Carleton. Representation and petition on behalf of himself and others, Loyalists in the County of Duchess. Explains their situation and that they pray to be assisted by Carleton to remove to Canada in the spring. Signed by Cook. Also accompanied by a statement by William Smith saying that he was present with Sir Henry Clinton, Cook and others when Clinton offered them assistance. Noted on the reverse of the document to be recommended to General Haldimand.
