9105. Brigadier-General Archibald McArthur to Carleton. St Augustine. As soon as the troops have gone he will set out for Providence. Discussion continues with regard to payments made or to be made, the expectation of the Indians visiting after the corn festival, and the settlement of the troops in the Bahamas and Nova Scotia. The stock of arms and ammunition which the Spaniards are expected to demand, and the claim on all of the lands of the Bahamas by the Colleton family of South Carolina.
