9080. Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay Lieutenant Cornelius Thompson, paymaster to the 2nd Battalion New Jersey Volunteers the sum of £132 19s 7d sterling. Being to reimburse that battalion the said sum which was stopped out of their subsistence at New York, 18 April 1783 for provisions issued to them between 25 October and 24 December 1782, but which had been previously paid for at Charleston, South Carolina, as appears by the certificates herewith annexed.
