The records in this series were created by the Deputy Inspector General in the course of the contracting out exercise in respect of the case administration functions of the Official Receivers. They were not registered. The folders contain discussions and proposals for the contracting out process, the feasibility study, the various phases of the options appraisal, contractual matters, the enabling order under Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994, correspondence with the Department of Trade and Industry and its legal team, consultation with the Official Receivers and meetings with the Secretary of State for the Department of Trade and Industry.
