Description

Prisoner name: James Dowdle.

Court and date of trial: Surrey Adjourned Sessions held at Newington in March 1825.

Crime: Stealing poultry the property of Anthony Jones of Croydon [Surrey].

Initial Sentence:7 Years transportation.

Annotated - outcome:Free pardon prepared February 1828 for both prisoner and William Henley.

Petitioner name relation to convict:Three petitions from prisoner; four of the visiting magistrates to the common gaol of Surrey.
