Folios 384-390: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 28 November 1917. NID16422. Translation of extracts from German War Notices to Mariners dated 4 July 1917 titled German Bight. List of wrecks known to have occurred during the war giving; character of ship, name, position and remarks. Some NIS comments given on covering letter.

Folio 391: Letter from C-in-C Grand Fleet to Admiralty No 2990/HF008, 2 December 1917 concerning interrogation of survivors from U.45, W/T information.

Folios 392-450: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 3 December 1917. NID16663. Translation of a German confidential handbook titled –Principles of the law governing War on Commerce issued by the Admiralty Staff, Berlin in November 1916 and corrected up to July 1917. Folio 450 has some [Admiralty?] remarks on the document.

Folios 451-454: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 24 December 1917. NID/OL7099 and Admiralty letter HF0017/61, 1 January 1918. Japanese steamer Hitachi Maru believed to have been captured by German Raider Wolf in the Indian Ocean may attempt to reach Germany. Folio 458: Telegram No 401, 13 January 1918 from Admiralty to C-in-C Grand Fleet. Report from Copenhagen indicates serious trouble in German Fleet this month at Wilhelmshaven, Kiel and Sonderburg.

Folios 489-490: Letter 0681/1, 16 February 1918 from Admiralty Naval Staff (DASD) to C-in-C Grand Fleet. German submarine in channel burning side lights.

Folios 491-495: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 9 March 1918. NID11289. Report on economic conditions in Germany derived from Prisoners of war of SS Dusseldorf captured on 22 February 1918.

Folios 496-498: Admiralty covering letter M.02909, 19 March 1918 to C-in-C Grand Fleet. Report from WT Hicks, Commanding Officer, HMS Safeguard relative to Sinn Fein activity and expectations of German assistance.

Folios 499-501: Admiralty covering letter M.12592, 22 March 1918. Telegram from Sir W Towney, The Hague concerning press communique about navigation in the Bight of Heligoland.

Report from French sources concerning Kapitan z.See Grassof who was in command of Kaiserin and was court marshalled and dismissed the service in consequence of his conduct during the engagement off Heligoland Bight on 17 November 1917. Includes extracts from related German letters.
