Folio 128 has scaled drawings (plan and elevation) showing disposition of armaments of: Königsbergs, Brummer and Bremse, Graudenz and Regensburg.

Folios 129-132: Letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 12 April 1917. NID11815 with extract from a letter from “a thoroughly reliable correspondent in Bergen”. A former steward of the SS Rannveig.

Folio 132 is handwritten note saying the information is not very useful.

Folio 133: Letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 15 April 1917. NID11958/17. Information on torpedo tubes on German destroyers from air photographs taken of Zeebrugge mole.

Folios 134-135: Correspondence concerning establishment of a munitions factory at Hochst. Admiralty letter M.04258/17, 18 April 1917 and letter No 123, 22 March 1917 from Cecil Hertslet, British Consulate General, Zurich.

Folios 136-146: Translation of article form the Frankfurter Zeitung, 18 April 1917, titled The Exploits of the Möwe. Folio 146 has handwritten note for C-in-C with “Points of interest.”

Folios 147-153: Correspondence concerning Jose A Abad, a Peruvian mercantile rating. May 1917. Includes information from his period as prisoner on SS Möewe. Folio 153 comprises handwritten notes concerning SS Möewe.

Folios 154-155: Letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 20 May 1917. NID12540 forwarding translation of intercepted German letter “…the whole crew of the Preussen will be transferred to the Hindenburg…the Preussen will be paid off…”

Folios 156-158: Correspondence May/June 1917 concerning Danish barquetine Kodan.

Folios 159-160: Letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 3 June 1917. NID13057. Information on battlecruiser Hindenburg being commissioned for trials.

Folios 161-177: Correspondence concerning German submarine base at Emden. May/June 1917. Includes letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 28 May 1917. NID1895 enclosing translation of report of evidence elicited at a marine court of enquiry in Haugesund, Norway into circumstances of Norwegian SS Svanfos and Borgila boarded by crew of a German submarine.

Folios 178-192: Correspondence and reports of examination of two German seaplane prisoners. Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 8 June 19117. NID12891. Prisoners names as Lieutenant z.S Richard Freude, 24, Seaplane pilot and Flugmaat Karl Berghoff, 25, Petty Officer acting as observer, captured on 1 May 1917 7 miles East of Lowestoft. Includes an appendix with appreciation of the prisoners and details of their careers and extracts from the notebook of Flugmaat Berghoff.

Folios 193-205: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 12 June 1917. NID13241 forwarding copy of report on survivors from German torpedo boat S.20 sunk on 5 June 1917. Those examined are named as:- Seekadett (Naval Cadet) Johannes Sujata (aged 18). Torpedo Oberheizer (Leading Stoker) Johann Siefen (Aged 23). Torpedo Heizer (Stoker) Martin Raunft (Aged 21). Torpedo heizer (Stoker) Otto Neumann (Aged 24). Torpedo Heizer d.Reserve (Stoker) Paul Basista (Aged 29). Torpedo Heizer d.Seewehr (Stoker) Robert Lubes. One other stoker survived and was in hospital at time of examinations. Translations of letters are included as follows:- From Hans Sujata to Frau Sujata, Russ.Col.3, Potsdam, Germany. From M Raunft to Nikolaus Raunft, Eberstr.15, Augsburg III, Germany. From Paul Basista to Max Batista, Kichstr.14, Beuthen, O/S, Germany.

Folios 206-219: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 13 July 1917. NID13866. Forwarding report of examination of an Able Seaman deserter from German battleship SMS Ostfriesland. No name given. Report in sections as follows:- General. Squadron formations. Movements. [Battle of] Jutland action. General details of Ostfriesland. Firing practices. Painting of funnels. New construction. General conditions [on board ship and in Germany].

Folios 220-223: Correspondence on information given by captain and passengers of Norwegian vessel SS San Mateo and whether vessel SS Freemantle (German) lying in Cadiz harbour is serving as a depot ship for German submarines. Letters No 886/S.130, 16 June 1917; No 1420/HF0017, 19 June 1917.

Folios 224-225: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 10 July 1917. NID13815. Enclosing photograph of (“probably U.52”) submarine which stopped Spanish SS Antonio Lopez off Cape Palos on 11 or 12 April 1917.

Folios 226-235: Correspondence concerning SS Amsterdam including NL.1/36208, 12 July 1917 which gives specification details of the vessel and details of its journey to/from Spitsbergen during the summer of 1917; NL.1/36208, 20 July 1917.

Folios 234 and 235 have two copies of same photograph of the vessel.

Folios 236-237: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 20 July 1917. NID1176 enclosing a photograph of German submarine U.C.52 taken at Cadiz Information on torpedo tubes on German.

Folio 238: File copy of letter dated 24 July 1917 from Admiral David Beatty to Dr JO Gavronsky thanking him for letter of 13 July 1917 with summary of the Russian Press.

Folios 239-240: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 29 July 1917. NID6881 forwarding translation of an intercepted German letter from Marta Rerder, Packebusch, Altmark to Musketier Wilhelm Rerder, Prisoner-of-war, England, 29 May 1917. Mentions submarine U.155.

Folios 241-243: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 10 August 1917. NID14413 with translation of extracts from a letter dated 24 May 1917 from Kapitanleutnant W Schulten, SMS Nautilus to Kapitanleutnant Wieblitz, late SMS Dresden, Quiriquina, Chile.

Folio 244: Note/memorandum dated 8 August 1917 giving information on Japanese ships and officers at: Singapore, Sydney, Simonstown and Malta.

Folios 245-246: Letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 20 August 1917. NID5243/OL.2410 and reply (undated) HF0053/17. Daily Review of Foreign Press useful or not.

Folios 247-252: Folio 133: Letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 15 April 1917. NID11958/17. Information on torpedo tubes on German from deserter from minelaying cruiser SMS Bremse.

Folios 253-254: Covering letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 30 August 1917. NID14737. Copy of circulars concerning possibility of German agents using explosives disguised as general cargo to damage ships.

Folios 255-258: Letter from Director of the Intelligence Division to C-in-C Grand Fleet, 5 September 1917. NID959. Mr Ronne of Bergenske Co has German prisoner friends so may be worth watching their vessels if German POW’s escape in UK.
