Extract, 'The Railway Magazine', September 1934, pages 187 to 191, 'Brunel's Timber Viaducts', by G Tyers, description of viaducts in Devon and Cornwall, five monochrome photographic illustrations, line-drawn map, tabular list of viaducts with location, length, number of spans and method of replacement.
Typed note, by [W E Hayward], 15 October 1950, noting that 'wooden viaducts were not peculiar to Devon [and] Cornwall', with some examples built 'on other lines for which Brunell was Engineer'.
