In April 2017, some functions of the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) transferred to the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and the agency changed its name to HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). HMPPS is an executive agency of MOJ and is responsible for the correctional services in England and Wales.
