Folio 250: Captain Edward Vernon, the Mary at sea. His last letter was sent by the John Frigott, Merchant ship and a duplicate by the Browne Galley, Merchant ship. He has passed money to Captain Davers before setting out with the homeward convoy. He is sending receipts and details of bills paid. He received a letter via the Oldfield about his account. Sheathing only remains from stores bought from Captain Jacobs, since supplied to the Carpenters of the Adventure and Mary. He bought tar from John Thomas, Master of the Kingston from Bristol. Captain Davers is arranging for the stores on the Oldfield to be taken in, in his absence. He repeats that one person to control the stores would be beneficial. Mr Adams is now working to a better method. The stores should be surveyed before he is paid. The Mermaid and Happy are at sea, but he estimates what stores are required. The Mary has been damage when run aground and needs to go home for repair.
