Folios 139-140.
To: The General Board of Health.
From: W J Le Feuvre, Southampton [Hampshire].
Subject Matter: Letter having reference to his communication of the 7 April 1856. Le Feuvre explains that on he same day, he addressed a letter to Mr Deacon, the Clerk to the Southampton Local Board, stating his case as regards the local rates, and requesting that it be referred to the General Board. On the 12 May, he is said to have received the enclosed answer [no included in item], 'which is far from satisfactory'. Le Feuvre submits that such conduct prevents his case from going before the General Board. He appeals to the Board to require that his letter be sent to them, and requests that the enclosed letter is returned to him.
