To: The General Board of Health.
From: Charles E Deacon, Town Clerk and Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Southampton [Hampshire].
Subject Matter: Letter acknowledging receipt of a circular letter of the 31 December 1855, respecting the repayment of the sum of £409 8s 6d, that being the amount of the expenses incurred on account of the preliminary inquiry held at Southampton under the Public Health Act 1848. Deacon requests, for the information of the Special Works Committee of the Local Board, to be furnished with the particulars of such sum.
