To: Charles E Deacon, Town Clerk and Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Southampton [Hampshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter advising, with reference to the plan of outfall sewers for Southampton proposed by Mr Marriott and submitted to the General Board for approval, that the various points which have been under discussion between the Chief Superintending inspector of the Board and Mr Marriott have been submitted to the President of the Board today. It is explained that some modifications of the plan, having in view the greater efficiency and economy of the works, will be forwarded within a day of two for the consideration of the Southampton Local Board.
