To: Charles E Deacon, Town Clerk and Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Southampton [Hampshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 24 October 1855, expressing the desire of the Committee of the Southampton Local Board to obtain the opinion of the General Board upon Mr Marriott's plan for completing the sewerage works of the town at the earliest opportunity. Deacon is advised that the wish of the Committee had been communicated to Mr Austin, who has the plans under his consideration, and that an answer will be forwarded as soon as possible.
