To: The General Board of Health.
From: Charles E Deacon, Town Clerk and Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Southampton [Hampshire].
Subject Matter: Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 17 October 1855. Deacon explains that he brought the same under the consideration of the Special and General Works Committee of the Local Board of Health, by whom he has been requested to inform the General Board of their extreme desire to obtain the opinion of the General Board upon Mr Marriott's plans for completing the sewerage works of Southampton at the earliest opportunity. He advises that the Local Board will hold a meeting next Monday, and that the Committee trust that it will be convenient for the Board to decide upon the plans before that day.
