Folio 49.
To: Charles E Deacon, Town Clerk and Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Southampton [Hampshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 8 October 1855, proposing that the Mayor of Southampton, with Deacon, as a deputation from the Local Board of Health, should wait upon the General Board tomorrow, with the view of obtaining their consent to the execution of the sewerage works of that town, in accordance with the plan which has been forwarded, and which has arrived at the office of the General Board today. Deacon is advised that the President will be glad to receive the deputation after the plans have been examined and considered, and that he will be informed when this has been done.
