Folios 47-48.
To: The General Board of Health.
From: Charles E Deacon, Town Clerk and Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Southampton [Hampshire].
Subject Matter: Letter advising that the Southampton Local Board of Health contemplate the completion of the sewerage works of all of the town, in accordance with a certain plan which has been laid before them, and that he and the Mayor have been asked to wait upon the General Board next Thursday, with a view of obtaining the consent of the Board to the execution of the works in accordance with that plan. Deacon explains that he will forward the plan of the works tomorrow, together with certain explanatory documents having reference thereto. He requests to be informed what hour next Thursday will be convenient to receive the deputation, which he believes will be attended by Mr Simpson, the Consulting Engineer to the Local Board, and Mr Marriott, the originator of the present works.
