Folios 436-441.
To: The General Board of Health.
From: George Lowther, Clerk to the Selby Local Board, Selby [Yorkshire].
Subject Matter: Letter enclosing a memorial [petition] signed by certain members of the Selby Local Board relating to Local Boards, and not trading companies having the direct management of the supply of water, gas, light and burial grounds, with reference to including this within the proposed Public Health Bill. Lowther also refers to the levying of rates by Local Boards, and enclose a statement showing the irregularity and injustice of repairing the highways from the General District Rate within the district of Selby.
