To: George Lowther, Clerk to the Selby Local Board, Selby [Yorkshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter of the 12 September 1855. It is advised that the Public Health Act 1848 gives a Local Board no power to make Bye Laws as to water supply, and this Board have therefore prepared no model form for such Bye Laws.
