Folio 191.
To: Messrs Wilson, Son, and Deacon, [Solicitors], Preston [Lancashire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Subject Matter: Letter advising that, having had under their consideration the memorial [petition] forwarded by Wilson, Son, and Deacon on behalf of the trustees of the estate called Fletcher's or Lutwidge's, relating to the width of certain streets proposed to be formed in Preston, the General Board regret that they can not comply with the wishes of the memorialists. It is stated that, in the opinion of the General Board, the course decided upon by the Local Board would, if adopted, tend to increase rather than deteriorate property value.
