Folio(s) 150-151. Letter from Sir William Curtis, Lombard Street [London], reporting that his banking house had lost 'a considerable sum of money' to an artful forger. He names the culprit as Providence Hansard with a wife in or near Bristol and a mistress in the Borough [Southwark]. In order that the man may be brought to justice, Curtis asks that the Home Secretary should authorise [Francis Freeling, Secretary to the Post Office,] to stop letters to all three.
