Folio(s) 148-149. Letter to 'Citizen' from 'J Notary' observing that disputes between Volunteers and their Commanders are usually caused 'by designing men' and that 'many Correspondists have crept in' among the Volunteers. These seditious men will promote every opportunity for disunion in order to create a rallying point. The writer states that offenders should be dealt with moderately by Commanding Officers and mentions 'the Southwark affair' and 'the riot at Chester'. He advises the Executive to avoid disputes with Volunteers in large towns and the Metropolis.
The writer reports that Mrs Tyndale had applied to him for charity and advice, her husband being fearful of petitioning to be allowed to transport himself to America.
