Description

7804. [Maurice Morgann] to Edgar Benson and Lieutenant-Colonel Smith. After the most attentive review, the Commander-in-Chief cannot see in his letter to the Honourable R R Livingston or in any clause of their instructions, any authority for their claiming on behalf of Mr Vandenberg a horse which was stolen or taken in Dutchess County in 1780.
